Through our award-winning app, we provide students with the support they need to make it to the top. Whether it’s 1-2-1 mentoring, live masterclasses, exclusive opportunities, or a membership community of likeminded peers - Zero Gravity is the anytime, anywhere app that makes students ambitions a reality.

We’ve already supported 15,000 students from low-opportunity backgrounds into leading UK universities, deployed £2m of scholarships, and partnered with 30+ elite employers to power our members into careers. But we’re just getting started…!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy driving member engagement on the Zero Gravity platform
  • Design and lead initiatives to attract new users to the platform, especially targeting students from low-opportunity areas
  • Increase user retention through creative initiatives and campaigns, ensuring members actively engage with new and existing platform features
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a small team (initially 3 people) to deliver member acquisition and retention strategies
  • Craft and execute a community engagement strategy that increases retention and usage of key platform features such as mentoring, masterclasses, learning pathways, and job opportunities
  • Set KPIs for the team, monitor performance, and use insights to refine strategies and maximise impact
  • Oversee the creation of inspiring, high-quality content (e.g., blog posts, newsletters, social media) and deliver virtual/in-person events such as webinars and workshops
  • Work closely with the product team to align engagement efforts with new features and provide member insights to inform product development

Necessary Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record of driving user engagement in subscription-based digital businesses
  • Experience managing teams focused on user engagement/acquisition
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and set KPIs
  • Demonstrated success in creating and executing innovative engagement strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire and connect with a growing community of Zero Gravity members
  • Knowledge of social media, digital marketing, and community management best practices

Desirable Skills and Experience 

  • Knowledge of the UK education and early careers sector
  • Familiarity with the needs and challenges of students from low-opportunity backgrounds
  • Previous experience working in a startup/scale up company
